Kimberley Totman, P.A.

Physician Assistant in San Antonio, TX

Alamo Heights Dermatology

Kim Totman is a physician assistant with career focused experience in the field of dermatology. Before she pursued a career as a PA, she worked as a medical assistant at a dermatology clinic. It was there that she discovered her passion for skincare and decided to enroll in the PA program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.  While she was working on her medical studies, Kim was able to do clinical rotations with state of the art dermatology clinicians and even transcribed for oculoplastic and MOHs surgeons.  One of her favorite community projects during her studies was called Mela-NO-More and aimed at bringing awareness of melanoma to high school students. Mela-No-More was presented to multiple San Antonio, TX high schools highlighting the risks of tanning and tanning beds to forwardly educate the key prevention methods and warning signs of melanoma.

Kim is currently on staff at Alamo Heights Dermatology where she helps treat an array of skin conditions ranging from warts to rashes. She enjoys meeting with patients and helping them on their journeys to wellness. When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, who was her college sweetheart. Together, they have four beautiful children.

Erica Ramos, P.A.

Physician Assistant in San Antonio, TX

Alamo Heights Dermatology

Seeing things through from start to finish has always been in Erica Ramos’ nature. Whether tackling a home project or working with a patient, Erica exercises an energetic blend of attentiveness and dedication that is the driving force in everything she does. Erica entered the medical field in 2004 as a physician assistant. Since then, she’s worked in family medicine, emergency care, rheumatology and dermatology. She gained a particular passion for dermatology after seeing a patient’s severe case of Mycosis Fungoids. She was inspired by the care she could provide in treating patients with mild and severe conditions that are often life impacting. Another aspect of this work, Ramos admits, “is to sit back and admire a job well done. I love practicing in dermatology for the ability it gives me to be cerebral as well as to perform procedural medicine.”

This ten-year Army National Guard veteran has two bachelor’s degrees: one in Sociology from Montana State University, as well as a PA degree obtained through the military IPAP program. She went on to complete the Physician Assistant Studies Master’s program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Erica’s work in surgery has been recognized by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a current member of the Society of Dermatology PA’s and the American Academy of Dermatology, DermCare Team. When she’s not immersed in all things skin, Erica is often spending time with her husband and children, enjoying a nice long run or watching her son compete in various sports activities.
